Project description

Nowadays business entities can carry out more and more services electronically by consuming government e-services. Such e-services are often performed on behalf of a business entity by natural persons authorized to represent the business entity or the person by whom they have been authorized.

Individuals have the power to represent a business entity in the appropriate registers, whilst the powers granted to persons are stored in the authorization system of each individual e-service.

The increasing number of available e-services becomes more and more difficult to manage. Additionally, each new e-service needs to rebuild the authorization mechanisms that often involves giving authorization through paper forms, thus losing the e-business' sense of purpose.

Therefore, the general goal of the project is to introduce an application-based solution for the authorization register in order to enable centralized authorization management for the use of e-services.

Such centralized authorization management enables the following:

Facilitates legal entities to provide easier management of authorizations towards government e-services
  • Provides a platform that e-services can use to validate authorization based on legally valid electronic documents

Project activities

  • Delivery of an application solution for power of attorney
  • Establish system and application software to support the application of the solution for managing power of attorney
  • Training of the client’s staff for future development and maintenance of the application and for maintenance of the system components
